Historic Ebenezer Baptist Church targeted by racist emails

ATLANTA (WXIA) -- Atlanta Police said Tuesday evening that just days after Confederate battle flags were left on the grounds of historic Ebenezer Baptist Church in Atlanta, the iconic church was the target of hate-filled racist emails.

Some of the emails included language that were too offensive to include, but the contents of one of the emails read, in part, "...how many black people have whites killed? I'll tell you, 0, none, Nada. In fact, whites commit so few crimes that the powers that be have to put the Hispanic community in with the white community to prove that whites commit crime. Whites don't, and have never committed serious crimes, or any crimes against blacks. However, blacks are 9 times more likely to commit a violent crime against whites then whites against blacks, and blacks, at an average rape 100 white women a day in the U.S. so why should you worry about a little thing like the Confederate flag."
