Workshop to teach diabetics to protect health during the summer
EAST POINT, Ga. -- Hot summer days can present risks to diabetics. Seniors at Fulton County’s H.J. C. Bowden Senior Facility will learn how to protect their health, particularly if they have diabetes.
On Thursday, July 10, 2014, a workshop will provide 10 safety tips for taking care of diabetes at home and on the job during the summer. During the two-hour workshop, which begins at 10 a.m., seniors will also see a video and receive a safety package providing information on proper diet, hydration and personal care.
The H.J.C. Bowden Senior Multipurpose Facility is located at 2885 Church Street in East Point. For more information, contact Barbara Cook at 404-762-4821.
