Meet William T. Moore, Atlanta Medical Center's New CEO

ATLANTA -- William T. Moore, chief executive officer of Atlanta Medical Center in Atlanta, was named chairman elect of the Board of Trustees of the Georgia Hospital Association (GHA) at the association’s annual convention on Feb. 2 in Atlanta. He will succeed 2011 Chairman Lance B. Duke, president and chief executive officer of The Medical Center in Columbus.

Since 2001, Moore has served as president and CEO of Atlanta Medical Center, a Tenet Healthcare facility. Prior to serving in that position, he served as Tenet Healthcare’s initial CEO of South Fulton Medical Center, where he was instrumental in transitioning the hospital out of financial instability.

Via the Department of Watershed Management -- The Department of Watershed Management reminds its customers that irrigation systems should be shut down when the temperatures drop below freezing to prevent overspray from freezing on sidewalks and streets and causing accidents/injuries. Irrigation systems installed after 2007 must by law have rain sensors that shut the system down when it is raining or when temperatures fall below 32 degrees F.
