Check out an APC: Phoenix Flies Celebration, this weekend

ATLANTA – The Atlanta Preservation Center is celebrating their annual program, “The Phoenix Flies” from March 5-20th. This “citywide celebration of living landmarks” was created in 2003 by the APC as a way to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the dramatic rescue of the Fox Theatre; it has since grown to include most of the city's notable landmarks.

This year, the celebration includes events like: Piedmont Park History Tour, Historic Downtown Walking Tour, Auburn Avenue Home Stories and the Beltline Tour.

A full listing of the event can be found at www.phoenixflies.org

Fourth Ward Alliance Needs Neighbor Input on Safety Issues

Fourth Ward Alliance Needs Neighbor Input on Safety Issues

Atlanta, GA--  For more than a year, several Old Fourth Ward residents have been researching and evaluating the possibility of developing a privately funded (membership and sponsorship) security and quality of life patrol focused on parts of the Old Fourth Ward. We believe we have gathered enough information and we are in the final evaluation stages of the effort.

As part of our final evaluation, we would like as many residents and business owners of the Old Fourth Ward to complete a brief survey on this topic so that we can gather feedback and information to help us determine if there is truly interest in the O4W for a security patrol. This survey is a critical last step in our evaluation process of whether or not to move forward and we very much appreciate you taking a minute to complete the survey.
