ATLANTA – (Atlanta Public Schools) All APS elementary school classrooms will receive boxes of school supplies from Atlanta-based Georgia-Pacific, as part of a month-long national corporate employee campaign that started last month on the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King’s birthday and will conclude at the end of February.
The company will deliver the supplies, including notebook paper, pencils, pens, construction paper, crayons and hand sanitizer to M. Agnes Jones Elementary School at Noon Wednesday, Feb. 23, 2011. Along with these “care boxes”, each elementary school will also receive two cases of office paper, paper towels and facial tissue products.
Georgia-Pacific employees will arrive at the school on a chartered school bus, as they do on a weekly basis to engage in mentoring activities with students through the Atlanta Partners for Education program.
